New L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation – a Review

I have tried a LOT of foundations over the course of my adult life. Unfortunately, more often than not I am not crazy about them. My biggest complaint is that the foundation usually doesn’t give great coverage or results. When I do find one that nicely covers, it often ends up that it dries my skin and ends up looking scaly or flaky in a short amount of time. It’s so frustrating!

Recently I had the chance to try new L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation. It is the first makeup from L’Oréal Paris with exclusive blur technology. What is “blur technology” you ask?? It is a special formulation to instantly blur lines and wrinkles. It helps erase those not-so-nice signs of aging like dark spots and large pores and also smooths uneven texture so you get a visibly flawless finish.

This is currently my go-to foundation. I love how smoothly it goes on and the immediate difference it makes in my appearance. And best of all – MY FACE DOESN’T DRY OUT! I don’t know how they manage that part, but it’s fantastic and I will be buying more myself to replace this tube when it’s finished. (Which will be soon!)

L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation contains SPF 18 and is available in 12 shades. It retails for approximately $14.99 for 1.4 fl oz. and is now available at mass food and drug retailers nationwide.

I always like to test out new skincare products. As I get older I appreciate more and more the importance of taking care of my skin and putting in some effort to make sure that it looks good and stays that way. So, I jumped at the chance to try the newly launched Altchek MD skincare line.

I tried two products from the new line:

Daily Exfoliating Cleanser – Gentle Micro-Polish 8.2 Fl. oz. 240 mL $14
Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz., 50 g $30

I’ll start with the cleanser. It uses micro-polish particles to gently exfoliate your face. I like that it feels gentle to use, but does a great job. I like the consistency of the cleanser itself and how fresh my face feels when I step out of the shower.

The Daily Moisturizer is fantastic. It really moisturizers my skin and keeps it feeling hydrated all day, BUT there is absolutely no oily feel. I also like that it has SPF 30 so I feel protected when I head out on my morning walk.
