I actually started the year a bit early by taking the bag with me to LA for the Into the Woods press event. (Yes, I got to interview Meryl Streep!) I thought the blend of simple elegance and on-trend style was just perfect for the occasion.

I also can’t forget to mention how much I love the Isaac Mizrahi packaging. It is so much more fun to get something new when it is wrapped and presented so beautifully!

The Patsy Small Hobo is an update to Isaac Mizrahi’s bestselling Patsy Collection. It is right on trend with its modified bucket shape and mix of materials – both leather and suede. The top features oversized perforations threaded by a leather drawstring to add sophistication and style. The nylon twill-lined interior has an inside zipper pocket as well as two open pockets.

Go from Day to Night with Monroe and Main + Reader Giveaway

What’s better than a great sweater dress? A great sweater dress that can go from day to evening with just a few little changes. I have to say that I absolutely loooove this Cable Car Chic Sweater from Monroe and Main. I have probably worn this more than any other piece of clothing since I received it. It is made of a surprisingly soft knit and has a curve flattering shape. I love the button details on the sleeves, side and cowl.

I also love that this sweater is so versatile. My go-to everyday look is to wear it with the Monroe and Main Control Legging in black. These leggings offer lots of support and hug your legs all the way from the wide control-mesh waistband down to the ankle. I seriously love these leggings and need to get another pair so I can wear them more often.

But, the Cable Car Chic Sweater also works perfectly for business situations. In the photo above, I’m wearing them with the Monroe and Main Control Bootcut Legging. They have the same wide, contoured control-mesh waistband as the other leggings, but the bootcut style totally makes them work in a dressier situation.

Then, for a fun girls-night-out look, I teamed up the sweater with fun patterned tights and the totally awesome Monroe and Main Side Gore Boot. My pet peeve about so many boots is that they aren’t fitted through the calf so that they end up looking all baggy and not-at-all flattering. I totally love that these boots have adjustable bands at the calf and ankle to customize the fit. They are also surprisingly comfortable for walking! I wore them to a business event in Chicago and easily walked for blocks.
