Fall Fashions with Monroe and Main + a BIG Reader Giveaway

This Monroe and Main Review/Giveaway is part of a Fashionista Events opportunity. Clothing/accessories were provided by Monroe and Main as noted below.

Fall is fast approaching and that means it’s time to plan our fall wardrobes!! While I love summer, Fall brings the fun of layering, boots, comfy sweaters and all the other benefits of cooler weather. This year I got to have a nice kick-off to my Autumn planning thanks to Monroe and Main. If you haven’t yet shopped Monroe and Main, they are dedicated to offering flattering fashions, fabulous footwear and the latest accessories. They have fashions, in sizes 6-24, perfect for the office, a night out, a casual weekend….you name it.

Faux Fur Cascade Sweater

Their new fall line has a lot to offer. From bold, graphic prints to ruffly sweaters – you will be sure to find something you love – I found a lot!  I especially like this Faux Fur Cascade Sweater, so I just had to create an outfit to go with it.

But….that’s not what I actually ordered.  I am a boot fiend and it just wouldn’t be Fall without a new pair of boots, so that was my goal when I went browsing on Monroe and Main.  The site was easy to navigate by category to find what I wanted.  They are also good at showing you other items you might like based on your selection….so you could end up shopping for a long time!
Embroidered Ankle Boot by Monroe and Main
I finally settled on the the Embroidered Ankle Boot.   Believe me, I had a really hard time deciding between the brown and the black.  I definitely could have used both pairs.  I finally decided on the black because I don’t currently have a taller boot with a low heel in black (well maybe just one pair).

I also selected this Kimono Sleeve Top.  (By the way, that top is on clearance at Monroe and Main right now and an amazing deal at under $10!!)  I just added leggings for a casual weekend look.

I like the Embroidered Ankle Boot.  It has a pretty embroidered band at the ankle along with other silver accents including silver studs and a really cool leaf at the zipper pull.  The boots are comfy.  I would have liked them to be a little tighter on my calf, but if I wear a thick boot sock in the late fall/winter it will both keep my feet warm and make the boot fit better.

Now I just have to wait for our first nice, cool Fall day to wear my new outfit!

Reader Giveaway:  And now we have an AWESOME giveaway to share!  Ten very lucky people will each win a $100 gift certificate to Monroe and Main.  To enter, just complete the entry form below by 11:59pm ET on 9/16/13.  Good luck!

I LOVE the Shirttail Blouse. I’d actually love to own it in all 3 colors. It looks very nice and would be great dressed up with a skirt, but I’d love to wear it in a more casual way with jeans. It’s feminine without being fruffie 🙂

For a girl my size, the Navado Tunic Dress and the front corset cincher would be amazing! It is gorgeous and stylish and would hide all of the stuff that needs to be hidden while accentuating the good stuff!
